               ◼ Biography
Prof. Jinbong Park received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Korean
Medicine from Kyung Hee University. Following his completion of his doctoral training, he

pursued postdoctoral research at the laboratory of Drs. Carl J. Hauser and Kiyoshi Itagaki at
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where he focused on
neutrophil biology in inflammation and trauma. In 2021, he returned to Kyung Hee University
as a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacology, College of Korean Medicine. As a

trained Korean Medicine MD/PhD, Prof. Park actively integrates traditional medicinal
knowledge with modern immunology, pharmacology, and omics-based discovery strategies.
His research centers on elucidating the precise roles of neutrophils in the pathophysiology of
inflammatory, infectious, and cancer-related diseases, utilizing neutrophil-mediated signaling

pathways as therapeutic targets. He also explores the therapeutic potential of natural products
and medicinal plants in immune modulation, metabolic diseases, and tissue regeneration.
Recent projects include the application of plant-derived nanovesicles for obesity, wound healing,
and CNS-targeted drug delivery. Prof. Park has authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles,

including 43 as first or corresponding author in SCIE-indexed journals, and is currently
leading/participating in several nationally funded research projects. By bridging traditional
medicine with modern translational science, he aims to develop sustainable, globally relevant,
evidence-based therapeutics and contribute to the innovation of Korean Medicine in the era of

               precision and personalized healthcare.
