                   Research Expertise
                   Dr.  Belury  earned  a  BS  in  Nutrition  and  PhD  in  Biological  Sciences  at  the
                   University  of  Texas  in  Austin.  Dr.  Belury  studies  how  dietary  fatty  acids,
                   flavonoids and other bioactive food molecules target phospholipids to impact
                   energy metabolism and inflammation. With many students and collaborators, Dr.
                   Belury has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and has sustained 30
                   years  of  research  funding  from  organizations  including  the  NIH,  USDA,
                   American  Cancer  Society,  American  Institute  for  Cancer  Research,  private
                   industry, and agriculture commodity groups. In 2011, Dr. Belury was elected
                   Fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
                   and  in  2025,  was  elected  Distinguished  Fellow  in  the  American  Society  for
                   Nutrition (ASN). The  American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) awarded her
                   with  the  2022  Ralph  T.  Holman  Lifetime  Achievement  award  and  the  2024
                   Taiwan Nutrition Society Award.
