◼ Biography
Dr. Tsong-Long Hwang is the Vice President and a Distinguished Professor at Chang Gung
University of Science and Technology. He also holds several prominent roles, including
President of the Society for Free Radical Research in Taiwan, President of the Taiwan

Association for Traditional and Complementary Medicine, and Honorary President of the
Society of Chinese Natural Medicine in Taiwan.
Dr. Hwang has multiple joint appointments; he serves as a Jointly Appointed Professor at
Chang Gung University, Ming Chi University of Technology, and National Yang Ming Chiao

Tung University. He is also a Jointly Appointed Research Fellow at Chang Gung Memorial
Hospital. Additionally, he is the Field Chief Editor for the journal "Frontiers in Natural
Products."
Dr. Hwang earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from National Taiwan University in 2000. His

research laboratory uses pharmacological techniques to explore the molecular mechanisms
behind the inflammatory response of human neutrophils. The aim is to identify potential
therapeutic targets for treating diseases associated with neutrophils. Dr. Hwang's group has
published more than 500 research papers and holds 40 patents.
