Abstract
Stroke remains a major global health burden, imposing substantial challenges on patients,
families, and society. In Taiwan, more than 30,000 new stroke cases occur annually, with stroke
consistently ranking among the top ten causes of death. Each year, approximately 437,000
individuals seek medical care for stroke, placing it as the seventh highest category in national
health insurance expenditures. While numerous studies have investigated the therapeutic effects
of acupuncture in stroke management, few have provided detailed and practical guidance on its
clinical application. This report, based on data from China Medical University in Taichung,
Taiwan, presents nearly a decade of integrative Western and Chinese medical treatment records
for hospitalized stroke patients and shares clinical insights on their management.
