◼ Biography
Dr. Tung-Yi Lin received his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from National Yang-Ming University
(NYMU). From 2018 to 2024, he served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and
Professor at the Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University
(NYCU). His research focuses on herbal medicine/natural products, polysaccharides, fungal
immunomodulatory proteins, and cancer biology. He was honored with the Young Scholar
Award by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan, in 2018, and received the
Young Scholars Award of the society of Chinese natural medicine in 2020. In August 2024, he
was appointed as the Deputy Chair of the newly established School of Chinese Medicine at
NYCU. Later that year, he founded and became the Chair of the Traditional Chinese Medicine
Glycomics Research Center. In February 2025, he assumed the position of Director of the
Institute of Traditional Medicine. In recent years, Professor Lin has published numerous
scientific papers on the anti-cancer and immunomodulatory effects of natural compounds and
has been awarded over 20 gold medals at international invention exhibitions across multiple
countries. He continues to pursue evidence-based scientific research on both nature products
and traditional Chinese herbal formulations.
