Dear Distinguished Guests and Esteemed Scholars,
On behalf of the Society for Free Radical Research–
Taiwan (SFRR-Taiwan), I am delighted to extend a warm
welcome to everyone attending the Joint Academic
th
Symposium, which includes the 40 Symposium on
th
Natural Products, the 25 SFRR-Taiwan Annual Meeting,
the 2025 TATCM Annual Conference, and the 1 SCPS-
st
Taiwan Annual Meeting.
This year's joint symposium, themed "Advancing Tradition and Innovation:
Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects in Chinese Medicine and Natural
Products," highlights an exceptional collaboration among four academic societies.
It brings together researchers and clinicians from various fields, including natural
products, redox biology, pharmacy, and traditional medicine. Our shared goal is
to enhance human health through science, innovation, and collaboration.
Since its establishment, SFRR-Taiwan has been committed to advancing the
understanding of oxidative stress, antioxidant defense, and redox signaling in both
health and disease. We promote translational research that links molecular
mechanisms to clinical relevance. By collaborating with our partner societies, we
aim to enhance scientific cooperation, encourage creative exchange, and explore
new frontiers in redox biology as well as its connections with natural and
traditional therapies.
I would like to sincerely thank all the organizing committees, collaborating
institutions, and participants for their invaluable contributions to this symposium.
I hope this meeting serves as an inspiring platform for sharing knowledge,
building partnerships, and shaping the future of redox biology and pharmaceutical
sciences in Taiwan and beyond.
Wishing the symposium great success and all participants good health and
inspiration!
Prof. Tsong-Long Hwang
President, Society for Free Radical Research–Taiwan
