Dear Distinguished Guests and Esteemed Scholars,

It is my great honor and privilege, on behalf of the
Taiwan Association for Traditional and Complementary
Medicine (TATCM), to welcome you all to this joint
academic symposium. We have gathered here to celebrate
our shared pursuit of knowledge under the theme
               “Advancing Tradition and Innovation: Challenges,
Opportunities, and Prospects in Chinese Medicine and
               Natural Products.”

This meeting represents a genuine spirit of collaboration that goes beyond
disciplinary boundaries. By uniting experts in traditional medicine, natural
product research, redox biology, and biomedical sciences, we reaffirm our shared
goal: to integrate traditional wisdom with modern science for the improvement of
               human health and well-being.

For the TATCM, this event marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts
to promote evidence-based traditional and complementary medicine. We believe
that the dialogue between tradition and innovation will continue to create new
opportunities for scientific discovery, clinical application, and international
collaboration. Taiwan, with its rich cultural heritage and strong scientific
foundations, is well-positioned to play a meaningful role in this global movement.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to China Medical University,
as well as to all participating societies, the organizing committees, and the
distinguished scholars for their dedication and contributions. I would especially
like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Conference Chair, Professor Hung-Rong
Yen, Dean of China Medical University, and to the Secretary-General, Dr. Yu-Chi
Tsai, for their outstanding leadership and tremendous efforts in organizing this
symposium. Your vision and commitment have made this gathering truly
               remarkable and meaningful.

May this symposium inspire innovative ideas, nurture meaningful
collaborations, and strengthen the connection between traditional knowledge and
modern biomedical research. I wish everyone an enjoyable, engaging, and
               productive meeting.

                      Thank you!

                                                                               Prof. Tsong-Long Hwang
