inflammatory, anti-osteoporosis, anti-stroke, and anti-Alzheimer's disease properties. VN018
showed good activity in the various assays, particularly its methanol layer, according to this
preliminary screening. Following the identification of plant specimens and gene sequencing,
VN018 was determined to be U. micrantha. For additional separation, purification, and
investigation of their possible bioactivities, the methanol extract of U. micrantha's branches
and leaves was selected. Twelve known compounds and one new compound were isolated in
the current investigation (Fig. 1).
